"Meg is simply wonderful! Her recipes are delicious, easy to follow, and I know I’m getting a well-rounded meal to help me reach my goals."
After graduating with her master's degree in mental health, Meg became somewhat disillusioned to the views of mental health in society and the overabundance of medication that is given out to adults and children. Looking for a way to not only manage her own anxiety but to get healthier, she fell in love with fitness. But it wasn't until after her first son was born that she really became passionate about nutrition and how to appropriately nourish her body and nourish her family. Meg currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband Brett, and their two sons. Brett proudly serves in the United States Army and gives their family the opportunity to see the world. These three guide Meg every day to live a healthy and thriving life.
Meg's journey began by exploring "clean eating". Not happy with this approach and the language used to describe food, she started to research different nutrition approaches and experimenting with her own personal health. As her passions bloomed, so did her desire to combine her skills as a mental health therapist with nutrition through the world of health coaching.
Meg now works with women and families to tear down the social stigmas around food and damaging diet culture. She believes that through bio-individuality, each person can redefine their habits to meet their goals to live the lifestyle they have always wanted. Health and "healthy living" is fluid and different for everyone. Meg prides herself on creating a safe space for her clients to experiment with what works for them by taking the stress of meal planning away, providing nutrition counseling, and using the techniques from her mental health experience to restructure the food "rules" that each person (or family) has created.
